Small Acreage and Land Entrepreneur Conference

Trade Show Sponsor

I am excited to tell you about a new program that University of Missouri Extension in northwest Missouri will be offering. On March 8, 2014 the northwest region agriculture specialists will be hosting the first annual Small Acreage & Land Entrepreneur (SALE) conference to be held in St. Joseph on the campus of Missouri Western State University. The conference will be a day-long learning opportunity for people who are excited to learn more about opportunities with small acreages and ways they can make an income on their land. The trade show will begin at 8:30 a.m. during registration and continue during breaks and lunch throughout the day.

The conference will be structured with four tracks and a trade show. The tracks will include: Critters, Great Outdoors, Home & Hearth, and Plants. Within the tracks there will be six, 45-minute learning opportunities for a total of 24 sessions. Some of those sessions will include: beekeeping, equine, poultry, rabbits, small ruminants, ponds, wildlife, trees, native plants, soap making, alternative energy, forages, cover crops, composting, and much more!

At this time, we are seeking trade show participants. There are three opportunities available to you:

Trade show sponsor – Cost is $75 and you will receive a six-foot table for your display along with one lunch ticket.

Break sponsor – There will be two breaks during the conference. Each break will cost approximately $300. We would suggest a minimum donation of $50 to be listed as a break sponsor, but any donation would be appreciated.

Information sponsor – If you are unable to attend the conference, but would like your information made available to the participants we would be happy to display your information on a 3x3 space for $35.

This is a very exciting opportunity for you to be involved in the first of many SALE conferences. We would be happy to visit with you more about the conference and ways you could be involved. Please return your sponsorship by Friday, February 14, 2014. If you have any questions please call Randa Doty at 660-582-8101 or dotyr@missouri.edu, or Tom Fowler at 816-279-1691.
