    Safe picnics

      • Keep hands clean during food preparation.
      • If food is cooked ahead of time, make sure it has time to cool in the refrigerator. Pack in a cooler to keep it below 40 degrees.
      • Eat take-out food within two hours of picking it up.
      • Don't put cooler in the trunk. Keep it in the air-conditioned part of the car.
      • Any food left outside longer than an hour, should be discarded.
      • Cook meat to proper temperature, and do not partially cook it.
