Old Farmers Day

    Old Farmers Day

America’s farmers ensure that we have a safe and reliable food supply and contribute to the strength of our nation through continued agriculture innovations. Today is Old Farmers Day, a day that originated in the 1800’s to honor the hard labor of farmers in the fall when the harvest is largely complete. Thank you, farmers, for all you do.

For more than 100 years, MU Extension has helped farmers succeed by sharing the university’s research-based information. The partnership has resulted in increased agriculture production and knowledge of new technologies. Find out more about the services and information extension offers.
