7th Annual MOCAN Healthcare Professional Award Recipients
Debbie Sheat, RN, is being recognized for the MOCAN Healthcare Professional Award: Excellence in Connecting Health to Community for her outstanding efforts in community health development in Barton County. The Summer Lovin' Health Challenge (SLHC) is a healthy living challenge aimed to motivate community members to engage in healthy behaviors and goal setting through accountability, counseling, and education. During the October MOCAN meeting, Debbie will be presented with the award and will speak about her role in supporting the program and what challenges and victories were met when presenting this program to a rural community.
Dr. Scott Griswold is being recognized with the MOCAN Healthcare Professional Award: Excellence in Connecting Health to Community for his efforts championing healthcare and local youth well-being. During the October MOCAN Meeting, Dr. Griswold will be presented with the award and will share his experience in serving a wide range of patients in a rural community, with focus on expansion of care and programming for young athletes.
