Know a healthcare professional or healthcare professions student who promotes healthy eating and active living in their community? Please nominate them for the MOCAN award for Excellence in Connecting Health to the Community! The winner in each category will be recognized and share their work at a MOCAN meeting, be featured on a podcast, be the subject of a press release in their local community and receive a gift card! Released by The Obesity Society, American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology, the report can be viewed and downloaded for free: 2013 AHA/ACC/TOS Guideline for the Management of Overweight and Obesity in Adults

CDC releases new resources for hospitals to create healthier environments
To support the creation of healthier hospital environments, CDC has released two new online resources for hospital administrators, nutritionists, human resources and employee health staff, and other interested supporters.
