The Missing Piece newsletter was started in 1989 after the state directors of the Departments of Health, Mental Health, Social Services, Elementary and Secondary Education, and the University of Missouri Extension Service signed an agreement initiating Human Service Network Coalitions. Many of you probably attend monthly human service providers meetings in your counties.

The newsletter is published quarterly and seeks to share innovative ideas generated by these human service providers organizations. We hope that our readers may find the "missing piece" to an idea or project on which their group may be working.

Help us celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Please share programs that are working in your county with any of the newsletter contributors listed on the front page. We'll help you share your innovative programs with our subscribers. We're all looking for ideas that work!
