Princeton, Mercer, and North Harrison 3rd Graders

On March 22, 2007, University Extension held a Water Festival for area 3rd graders. A water Festival has eight learning stations and each is designed to help the students with their science MAP tests. We hosted 57 students from Princeton, Mercer, and North Harrison schools and they all had fun learning about water and how to preserve clean healthy water.
We want to thank the Baptist Church for using their facility. Jim Palmer and Jeff Berti from the Department of Conservation who presented about wildlife, and Beth Walter and Shay Davis from the Soil and Water Conservation District who presented on soil erosion. We also want to thank the Soil and Water Conservation District for their $200.00 donation for this event.
