Developed with March of Dimes funding, now in the third printing.  Training presented to 500+ educators and health professionals.  500 copies were distributed to schools and health agencies in Missouri; 460 additional copies purchased by users from 24 states through MU Extension and NASCO.  A five-year follow-up evaluation verified impact.

Debby Whiston has been the State Co-chair of the Building Strong Families team in Missouri from 1995-2004 and has taught the VITA Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program in two of her assign counties.  VITA volunteers provide free tax assistance and electronic filling to low-income, disabled, homebound, and English-as-a-second-language taxpayers.
