Ready Ag - Disaster and Defense Preparedness for Production Agriculture

The Ready Ag workbook helps farmers and ranchers plan for and manage disasters that can occure on their opperation.

USDA: Farm Service Agency (FSA) has Disaster Assistance Programs for farmers.

  • Contact your local FSA to report damage within 30 days of disaster.
  • For those interested in FSA disaster programs: Do NOT clean up any debris until FSA is able to look at the damage and debris.
  • Take lots of pictures to document all of the damage!
  • Only restore the fences that need to be restored immediately (meaning fencing to keep livestock on the property).
