December 30, 2014 - 115th Audubon Christmas Bird Count. Participation in a Christmas Bird Count is now FREE. Contact Marge Lumpe, compiler for the Cole Camp Prairies IBA count. You may also visit http://netapp.audubon.org/cbc/public/search.aspx to pre-register. We will meet at Classic Diner in Cole Camp at 7:30 a.m. (7 a.m., if you plan to have breakfast). We will divide into groups to cover our designated Circle and begin our bird count at 8:00 a.m.
January 10, 2015 Warsaw Eagle Days - Truman Lake Visitors' Center. 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Meet and greet the public and hand out pamphlets. No need to stay all day. If you can help, spend whatever time you have available.
On-going opportunity - The Boys and Girls Club in Sedalia is looking for individuals to give presentations on nature subjects for the after school program. Time: 4:30 p.m. When: Third Thursday of each month. Contact: Carrie Leman, (660) 723-9629. Activity is approved for volunteer service.
On-going opportunity- CACHE (Conservation Area Bird Counts) An ongoing inventory of most of the conservation areas in the state. We can arrange trips as a group or anyone can go alone to any Conservation Areas in the state and enter reports online.
