Jefferson County Military Families Support Network
“Operation: Military Kids” is a collaboration between branches of the military and the University of Missouri Extension 4-H. The ultimate purpose is to support the children of a deployed soldier. In Jefferson County, we have taken it one step further and realize with most children there is a family that also needs support, so we created the Jefferson County Military Families Support Network (JCMFSN). It is apparent that Jefferson County people really care about those who are in the military and their families. With a little planning, this demonstration of gratitude and caring is something we can do every day on an on-going basis, not just when deployment is an issue.
Jefferson County Military Families Support Network (JCMFSN)/4-H Operation: Military Kids is a community collaborative program, under the umbrella of M.U. Extension and is also part of the programming of Experience Jefferson County (EJC) and JOIN-N , as well as many other county and state organizations and agencies. For further information, or to join us in this effort, please contact: Wendy at the extension office at 636-797-5391.
Thanks to everyone that helped make the Military Family Day at the Park a huge success!
