2018 Jasper County Extension Council biographies

Debbie Carter
Debbie is a 1977 graduate of Webb City High School. She worked three years at Jasper County Seed Co. as a secretary, four years as secretary at Carthage Junior High and 13 years at Moorehouse Sales & Service as a secretary. Debbie is a member of Fairview Christian Church.

Peter Carter
Peter graduated from Carthage High School in 1973. He is a 1977 graduate of the University of Missouri with a BS degree in Ag Economics. He has farmed and ranched for 35 years and served of Avilla School Board for eight years. Peter is a member of Fairview Christian Church.

Doug Collard
Doug was raised in Jasper County. He and his wife have two children. The family has a small farm where they raise beef cattle. Their children are involved in 4-H with their projects consisting of cattle and swine. He has been a beef and swine project leader for Sarcoxie Chiefs 4-H and currently works for Specialty Risk Insurance in Carthage.

Patricia Gordon
Patricia has lived on a farm her entire life. After 31 years of teaching, she now enjoys working part-time in the health office at Avilla R-XIII. She and husband, Gary, attend the Avilla Baptist Church.

Jim Graham
Jim is a retired public educator who grew up involved in 4-H. He states, "I see and understand the value that extension has on the counties and people of Missouri."

Lonnie Hudson
Lonnie is a third generation Oklahoma farmer, raised in Welch, Ok where they raised some of the first polled Hereford cattle. After moving to Jasper County he met and married Bonnie Straw, daughter of George and Gay Straw. They are project leaders and members of the Forest Mill Friends 4-H club. Lonnie's daughter is also an active project leader and grandson is an active 4H member. He is employed at Metcalf Auto Supply in Carthage. Lonnie has served on the Missouri Governor's Mounted Guard and Jasper County Farm Bureau. He is a member of the First Baptist Church in Carthage. He is a registered tribal member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and a Certified Artificial Herdsman going on 34 years.

Teresa Ingle
Teresa was involved in 4-H as a kid and both of her kids are 4-H and Ag kids. She is young-people-focused and has lived in Jasper County for 39 years.

Gail Kreutzer
Gail grew up on a beef, dairy, and grain farming operation just southwest of Carthage. She is a member of Les Femmes Family & Community Education Club (formerly Extension Clubs). Currently, she is administrative assistant at Carthage Tech Center which houses four Ag instructors who help keep Gail current on what's happening with their students and projects.

Karen Latimer
Karen was born in Noel, Mo. She graduated in 1964 from Neosho High School and then went on to graduate Crowder College in 1967. She is retired having worked as Food Service Director for Webb City Schools. Karen is a volunteer for Back Pack program and Webb City Cares, Friends of Webb City Library, P.E,O., Webb City Farmers Market, and MU Extension. She is a member of Central United Methodist Church.

Mary Jo Little
Mary Jo serves as the primary point of contact or any request, whether on the phone or in the office. She also handles the bookkeeping function and website data maintenance for both the Chamber and Maple Leaf Festival. She oversees the Annual Maple Leaf Festival Committee, Chamber Annual Banquet, Carthage Emerging Leaders (CEL), and Annual Golf Scramble. Mary Jo has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism/Public Relations and nearly 10 years in corporate technology and purchasing. She also brings with her experience in management, office administration, and communications.

Kyle Wilson
Kyle is a sixth generation crop and cattle farmer. He and his wife Rachel have four kids. He currently serves on the Avilla R-13 School board and is very active in the community as a volunteer coach.

Rachel Wilson
Rachel is a professional artist. She and her husband Kyle have four children. Rachel is an active volunteer in the community and has served as the project leader for multiple 4-H projects.
