Workshop on Prevention and Relationship Enhance Program

(Blue Springs, Mo – March 2, 2007)  University of Missouri Extension will offer a workshop on PREP (Prevention and Relationship Enhance Program) from 6 pm to 9 pm on April 10 and 17, 2007 at the University of Missouri Extension Center (1507 NW Jefferson Street, Blue Springs, Mo).

PREP is an educational and a research-based program to help engaged and married couples gain skills and principles they need to lower risk factors and raise protective factors to maintain a lasting and healthy relationship.

Many studies have found that PREP couples benefit significantly. For instance, couples who attended PREP have lower rates of premarital break-up and post marital divorce.  Up to five years after completing PREP, couples were still communicating significantly better than couples who had not received the training.
