(BLUE SPRINGS, MO – July 26, 2006) A workshop on “Working with Special Needs Children” will be offered by University of Missouri Extension and the Children’s Therapeutic Learning Center at 6:00 p.m., Sept. 21, 2006, at the Extension Center, 1501 NW Jefferson St., Blue Springs.
Participants will learn strategies for effectively supporting children with special needs in the classroom and early childhood education settings. Techniques for communicating with parents will also be provided.
Participants will earn 2 clock hours after completing the workshop; 0.2 Continuing Education Units are available. The registration fee is $15. For more information, contact University of Missouri Extension at 816-252-5051.
