By Nina Chen, Ph.D. Human Development Specialist Did you know that recent research on the brain demonstrates that particular activities can help you keep your brain healthy and active? Just as your muscles need exercise, your brain can benefit from different types of stimulation. University of Missouri Extension will offer a MindAlert workshop on “Maintaining Your Brain” from 9:00a.m. to Noon on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the Pioneer Community College, Kansas City, MO. Come and learn ways to maintain your brain at a MindAlert Workshop. Individual and team learning experiences will both increase your mental fitness and demonstrate that learning can be fun. This workshop is part of American Society on Aging’s MindAlert Initiative and funded by MetLife Foundation Refreshments will be served at the break. For more information or registration, contact University of Missouri Extension at 816-252-5051. ####
