How to Respond to Children's Injuries

        (Blue Springs, MO-July 20, 2007) University of Missouri Extension is collaborating with the Jackson County Health Department to offer a workshop on “How to Respond to Children’s Injuries” from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sept. 13, 2007 at the University of Missouri Extension Center (1501 NW Jefferson Street, Blue Springs, Missouri).

        This workshop will focus on how to identify and deal with the following: poisons, seizures, asthma, fractures, sprains, strains, burns and diabetic situations.  Early childhood educators and childcare providers who attend will be more knowledgeable and have a better understanding regarding basic first aid procedures.

        Participants will receive two clock hours after completing the training; 0.2 Continuing Education Units are available.  The registration fee is $15 per person.  For more information or registration, contact the University of Missouri Extension Center at 816-252-5051.
