          (Blue Springs, MO-Jan. 29, 2007) University of Missouri Extension will offer a workshop “Helping Children Adjust to Divorce” from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on March 8, 2007 at the University of Missouri Extension Center (1501 NW Jefferson Street, Blue Springs, Missouri).

          Parental divorce can be painful for children.  This workshop will help teachers, childcare providers, and other professionals learn children’s reactions to divorce at different stages, how divorce may affect their school performance and strategies to provide support for children who are experiencing parental divorce.

          Participants will receive two clock hours after completing the training; 0.2 Continuing Education Units are available.  The registration fee is $15 per person.  For more information or registration, contact the University of Missouri Extension Center at 816-252-5051.
