Assignment 4 - Finding and Downloading Software, Installing Files and Virus Protection

1. Check out at least three Web sites for finding software, and analyze them for the following:

   1. What's the name and URL of the site?

   2. What kind of a site is it? Commercial? Public service? Other?

   3. What kind of files does the site have?

   4. How is content selected?

   5. Are special search tools included?

   6. Is the software rated? By whom? On what basis?

   7. What other information is available about the software?

2. What is your plan for protecting your computer from viruses? What virus protection steps have you taken?
