Internet Master
Assignment 1 - Introduction to the Internet and E-mail

  1. Make a folder called "I-Masters" in your e-mail program to store future class messages. After you finish using this message, move it to your I-Master file folder.
  2. Add the following e-mail addresses to your address book:
    Don Day - daydr@missouri.edu
    Mark Stewart - stewartm@missouri.edu
  3. Design a unique signature file for yourself and save it so it will be sent with each of your messages.
  4. Compose a message about what you think of the Internet Master course and send it to your partner from class.
  5. When you receive your partner's message, send him/her a message reply.
  6. Using your address book, compose a message to Don Day. Send Don the answers to the following questions:
    1. What is the Internet?
    2. What is the most exciting thing you see in using the Internet?
    3. What concerns do you have in using the Internet?
    4. What E-mail software do you use?
    5. You just received an e-mail from a friend, but you don't know her e-mail address. Besides calling her on the phone, how can you find out her e-mail address?
    6. List 4 Netiquette Do's and 4 Netiquette Don'ts:
