Create communities of the future with community development education and resources from University of Missouri Extension.

Local Resources

Individuals and groups interested in reaching community goals can find assistance in the University of Missouri Extension Center in Howell County.  Resources are offered in planning, leadership development, local issues resolution, citizenship training, local government, not-for-profit organizations, computer literacy and training, business start-up, and community economic development.   Programs are offered to individuals and interest groups, and in cooperation with schools and other organizations.

Asset based community development relies on active citizen participation and data such as offered through sites listed on this page.  An extension staff member is available to help groups in organizing and working to grow their capacity for citizen directed, continually learning, self-sustaining communities.
