As one of the nation's largest youth organizations, 4-H reaches youths, ages 8 to 18, in rural, urban and suburban settings, helping them become competent, capable, caring and contributing members of society.

For more information about these clubs, to join or to volunteer, contact the  Howell County 4-H staff at the County Extension Center. 417-256-2391

Young people between 8 and 18 are eligible for full 4-H membership. Kids between 5 and 7 years old may join the special "4-H Clover Kids" program. The dues, including insurance, for 4-H clubs are $9 per year for all except the horse clubs which are $10. Various projects may have materials fees and costs, but we try to keep those as low as possible.
