Master Gardeners

The Hickory County Master Gardeners club was established in 2005. The Mater Gardener program is an opportunity for novice and experienced gardeners to learn to share knowledge with others. As representatives of MU Extension, Master Gardeners are involved in a variety of activities that benefit community, families and individuals while developing horticultural interests.

The MU Extension Missouri Master Gardener Program is a statewide education and volunteer program. To become a bona fide Master Gardener, participants must complete the 30-hour core training course presented by MU Extension horticulture faculty and complete a minimum of 30 hours of volunteer service in their community in approved MU Extension Master Gardener activities.

The Hickory County Master Gardeners meet at 1:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Hickory County Extension Office meeting room.
