Ounce of Prevention

Description: The Ounce of Prevention: Addressing Health Issues of Adolescents and Young Adults program provides education to teachers and youth workers in the areas of prevention of dating violence, teen pregnancy, birth defects and STDs. This program also teaches healthy relationship skills.

Map/schedule

Curriculum/program overview: While teen pregnancy rates have diminished in recent years, the rate of dating violence and STDs has not decreased. This program trains teachers and youth workers to work with teens to address these issues in a positive manner.
