Description: The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is a nutrition and physical activity program targeted to audiences with limited resources, primarily adults. Participants receive 6-12 lessons over the course of the program. Education is provided in homes and community settings.
Curriculum/program overview: The goal of Missouri's Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is to assist Missourians with limited resources in achieving lifelong health and fitness. The primary target audience is women with children, but the program also works with Missouri’s 4-H Youth Development Programs to offer nutrition education to groups of youth.
This program provides education in homes and community settings. Program participants receive 6 to 12 lessons over the course of the program.
