Welcome!
Our meetings will start up again
soon.
Call 660-885-5556 for times and
dates.
The mission of the Missouri Master Gardener program is:
"Helping Others Learn to Grow". As part of the outreach
efforts of University of Missouri Extension, Master
Gardeners involve people in improving the quality of life,
and enhancing the economy and environment through
horticultural education, applied research and the resources
of the University of Missouri and Lincoln University.
The primary purpose of the
University Extension is to serve Missouri by reaching out
and extending research-based knowledge and problem-solving
resources of the University of Missouri system to people
throughout the state.
The Master Gardener
Program is an informal, but important liaison between the
University of Missouri Extension and the general public.
The
Henry County Master Gardeners provide people with information, suggested
solutions to current or anticipated problems, demonstrations
and programs designed to educate the general public about
gardening topics. These solutions are focused on
encouraging environmentally sound, responsible and reliable
information to the public based on research and approved
practices.
The Master Gardener Program is
conducted by Master Gardeners working under an elected
leadership committee.
Local University of Missouri Coordinator is Travis Harper (harpertw@missouri.edu).
The Master Gardeners in Henry County are part of the
statewide Master Gardener group coordinated by the
State Master
Gardeners at the University of Missouri campus.
