Years lived in Missouri: Since 2005

Original Hometown: Cincinnati, Ohio

Education:
BS degree from Ohio University in Youth & Recreation Management
Masters in Public Administration from the University of Missouri

Professional Background:
Starting working with youth in an At-Risk Youth Mentoring Program in Cincinnati when I was 17. Spent a few years running programs as a Community Center Director in the Chicago area, and most recently did some work with Americorps and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Missouri before joining MU-Extension.

Why I am passionate about my job:
For one thing it is hard not to get excited about the Initiative when the idea is being met with such enthusiasm and positivity across the state. More importantly, it is an amazing opportunity not only to make a difference in the lives of youth, but also their families and their communities.

If I weren't doing this for a living:
I would be in Culinary School and trying to open up a restaurant.

What I do for fun:
I enjoy cooking, but I also like to get outdoors and hike and bike on the local trails in Mid-Missouri.

Family:
I have been married since 2005 to my wife, Shana, and we have one little boy named Jack.

Favorite place in Missouri:
At home with my family.
