The Miramigoua Chapter was formed in the spring of 2009 to serve the Franklin County area. We meet at Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit Missouri on the fourth Tuesday of the month.

The Missouri Master Naturalist™ program is an adult community-based natural resource education and volunteer service program sponsored jointly by the Missouri Department of Conservation and the University of Missouri Extension.
Our mission is to engage Missourians in the stewardship of our state's natural resources through science-based education and volunteer community service.
Missouri Master Naturalist volunteers support conservation efforts and natural resource education in their local communities.

Capstone Projects
Nature Explore Classroom Expansion at Shaw Nature Reserve - Besa Schweitzer
There are 17 people working on this project. We built a trail, removed invasive species, and made a bench.

Open Woodland Restoration at Caldwell Memorial Wildlife Area Part 1-3 - Melinda Twyman

Woodland and Glade resroation monitoring in the Middle Meramec Conservation Opportunity Area - Walter Smith
Adam Boman's plan is to begin in June 2010. That means that those signed up for this project will not get any credit hours until 2010.

Three Burn Plans with Permanent Fire-line Construction - Sue Haskins
The actual burn will take place in the Fall we will be doing all the prep work for it.
