Prioritizing Your Time - Part
3
Time
is a unique resource in that everyone has 24 hours each day. How you use
your time is a major factor in how you feel about your life. The best
thing you can do is take charge of your time and invest yourself in those
things that matter most in your life.
To
be more effective with your time:
-
Learn
to work with your biological clock. Each individual has a peak time of
day when their energy is at its highest and concentration at its best.
Keep routine tasks for the time of the day when concentration is not
needed.
-
Develop
systems to keep things running smoothly at home. A master calendar for
the family is useful. Each family member is then responsible for
noting their time commitments on the calendar and consulting the
calendar for potential conflicts when they make plans. Also use a
master bulletin board for reminders, messages, announcements, and
calling lists that each family member may need.
