Recommendations for Representing the University of
Missouri Extension and the Family Nutrition Education Program

Co-Coordinators
Family Nutrition Education Program
Copies - All
handouts and newsletters that are distributed to program
participants should be clean, legible and copied straight. They
should be identified with both the FNEP logo and the MU Extension
logo. The curriculum logo can replace the FNEP logo but not the MU
Extension logo.
FNEP Logos can be
downloaded from the FNEP Web Site.
MU Extension Logos can be downloaded from the
MU Extension Web Site.
All FNP materials (local and
state-level developed) are to have the non-discrimination, outreach
and funding statements on them along with appropriate
logos/identification.
- The non-discrimination
statement is a requirement of Extension and our funding agency.
The non-discrimination statement is: "University of Missouri
Extension is an equal opportunity/ADA institution." If the MU Extension logo is on a piece, the
shortened version “equal opportunity/ADA institution" should
appear below the logo. It should accompany the MU Extension
logo, not the FNEP logo. If the MU Extension logo is not used,
then the full statement, as listed above, should be used.
- The outreach statement is a
requirement of our funding agency. The outreach statement is:
"For more information, call MU Extension's Show Me
Nutrition line at 1-888-515-0016.
Running out of money for food? Contact your local food stamp office or go online to
dss.mo.gov/fsd/fstamp."
- The funding statement is: "Funded in part by USDA SNAP."
If you have materials that do not
contain these statements, you can add them when you reprint. Do not
discard the copies you have on hand.
Posters and
Visual Aides should also be identified with FNEP and MU
Extension logos.
They should be neat, clean and contain accurate information.
FNEP Staff
should always wear a name tag that identifies them with MU Extension. Name tags may be omitted if you
wear your FNEP shirt. Name tags can be ordered through Extension
Publications.
As our budget allows, each NPA will receive a new
FNEP shirt annually. These shirts will have both the FNEP logo and
the MU Extension logo on them. When wearing the shirts they should
fit properly, be clean and wrinkle free. Wearing these shirts will
identify the NPA is an employee of MU Extension/FNEP.
