How we can help with local school wellness policy development
  • Role of FNEP coordinators and nutrition and health education specialists – participate in policy development committees, provide advice about writing the policy and serve as a resource for nutrition information

  • Role of FNEP nutrition program assistants and associates – Participate in local satellite broadcast meetings (August 25, 2005 – 1:30 – 2:30 PM or September 15, 2005 – 3:00 – 4:00 PM) and represent our program. To  promote FNEP say that it is an integral part of the school curriculum. Our program impacts students, teachers and parents. We are the nutrition education link in the classroom, with food service and the wellness policy committee. To register for the satellite trainings at your school, keep checking the Missouri DESE website at http://www.dese.mo.gov/
