Trees should be considered a long term investment in the landscape. There are many trees that provide wonderful foliage, flowers, fall color and other features. These trees should be planted for their beauty and benefits.
Unfortunately not all trees are created equal. Many tree species tend to be short lived or susceptible to insects and disease. These problem prone trees should be avoided. Planting trees resistant to problems makes their care easier.
