Each chart deals with a single training objective including suggested delivery methods and print or video resource materials available to help with instruction.   Objective:  Council members will learn how to develop a county plan of work based upon local community trends. Objective:  Council members will learn how to assess, plan and carry out effective council and committee meetings. Objective:  Election/

  Objective:  Council members will explore their individual leadership style, managerial strengths, managerial weaknesses, characteristic ways of dealing with colleagues, contributions in a management team, and constraints to change.   Objective:  Council members will learn how to develop linkages with the various political, administrative and specialization groups associated with University of Missouri Extension, its programs and its user/client groups.

Skills training
Objective: Finance committee members will develop a two year financial plan for the council and adjust operating budget as needed.   Objective:  Finance committee members will develop a comprehensive county budget proposal, and strategies for securing such funds from the county commission. Objective:  Endowment & Gifts Committee members will develop a comprehensive endowment and gifts plan, and will plan and carry out a council fund raising event
