Council resource toolbox

For more than 100 years, MU Extension has been an innovator in providing responsive, reliable and relevant resources that impact lives. Our mission is to disseminate the research and knowledge from our campus to benefit all the citizens in every corner of Missouri. Thanks to the federal establishment of land-grant universities, millions of people, who have never set foot on a college campus, can improve their lives, help drive their local economies, help prepare local youth for leadership and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) jobs, and aid communities to become more resilient.

As you are an elected or appointed council member and dedicated advocate for MU Extension in our state, we want to arm you with the most accurate and timely information possible. We have designed a resource “toolbox” to help you have at your disposal the educational information, guidelines, by-laws and tools you need to be an advocate for and informed about extension.

The following links are designed to assist council members and officers to best carry out your office duties and serve the constituents you represent. We have tabbed the categories for easy reference and added subheads within the larger categories (in alphabetical order) to help you find what you are looking for in the most expeditious way possible.

Our contact information is under the assistance tab, and we welcome your input and feedback as we continually strive to improve this new tool.

MU Extension 101

For more than 100 years, MU Extension has provided practical education to Missourians based on the research and resources of the University of Missouri.

Over the decades, pictures that demonstrate how extension improves lives and communities have been collected. We've assembled photos from then and now to tell the story of what we do, so you can learn our history, understand the present and plan for the future. Visit the #MUEXT101 Web page to take a look.
