Le Project Du Garbage, "The Garbage Project" begun by anthropologist William Rathje, studies what people throw away, how much it weighs, how much space it takes up and how much is recyclable. While many might not want his job, more people are listening to his studies, which have expanded to the contents of landfills.
This publication outlines his research findings and talks about how we can plan for more efficient waste disposal in the future. Health and environmental issues, biodegradability and the reduce, reuse, recycle campaign are all discussed.
The final section talks about what communities and individuals can do to help fit in with the overall plan.
