This comprehensive guide, revised annually, gives a wealth of information on how to protect your vegetable crops from insect and disease pests.

A large pesticide application section is included with important safety and production information. Tables updated annually list approved pesticides for each vegetable pest (insect or disease) as well as label restrictions. Another table lists each chemical and its effectiveness in controlling various weeds. Questions about common names, trade names, chemical companies and formulation can also be answered here. Nonchemical weed management practices are discussed as well.

Commercial produce growers can also use the information on labor laws and worker protection standards. Further sources of information, including regional vegetable crop specialists, are provided.

Anyone involved in vegetable production will find this a handy reference.
