What We're About

The Extension Worker's Creed (PDF)
Adopted in 1927 as ESP's creed at the first national Grand Council Meeting, this document has been revised through the years to always be an articulation of the values of Extension professionalism. The first version was prepared by the founder of ESP, W.A. Lloyd.

In 1952 ESP published a book called The Spirit and Philosophy of Extension Work, edited by R.K. Bliss. The entire book is available as an online-only digital book from  Pennsylvania State University. http://collection1.libraries.psu.edu/cdm/ref/collection/digitalbks3/id/30351
You can find the original 1927 version of the creed on page 357.
