Minutes Bev Maltsberger moved to approve the minutes, Joe Koenen seconded the motion. The minutes were approved as posted.
Treasurer’s report – reported by Bob Schultheis treasurer:
$ 542.74 in the regular checking account
$6,206.31 in the commercial money market account
Outstanding deposits of $435.00
Outstanding checks of $450.00
Total operating funds available $6,734.05
Tony DeLong moved and Rebecca Travinchek seconded and the motion carried to approve the treasurer’s report.
Annalist report – Janet LaFon sent a request that folks get any historical documents to her for the official records.
National ESP update – Mark Stillwell, about 170 in attendance at the recent national conference. Missouri was recognized a number of times in the Ruby address. Membership is at about 6,000 nationally, down from 9,000 a number of years ago. April 1st is the deadline to sign up for committees. Next National meeting will be held in Mobile, Alabama.
By-Laws updates – Johanna and Bob explained the changes to be made. Dues are payable to the Missouri ESP treasurer not later than two weeks before the national deadline (currently Feb.1), and the fiscal year would be changed from Oct. 1 – Sep. 30 to Sep. 1– Aug. 31. Richard Proffer moved and Julie Middleton seconded approval of that change. Change in the annalist duties to indicate they must “see” that website is updated rather than specifically have to make the updates. Bev Maltsberger moved and Mark Stewart seconded and the change is approved. Rebecca and Mary Anne second on the clean-up item. Typographical change to capitalize the item. Pat Snodgrass moved and Vivian seconded acceptance. Another action would take development out of the committee name and description. Recognition and awards committee took the word staff out of the name of the one award. Language – woman and man versus female and male?? No preference it will remain as currently stated. President-elect – change capitalization. Minor changes were made for consistency with language elsewhere. Joe moved and Bev seconded those changes. Kathy moved and Bud seconded - The changes were accepted by a vote.
Membership – David Hill – report shared in writing. There is representation on the committee from the regions and on campus. It may be that we want to replace Julie Middleton as she is the incoming President-elect. Nine new members this year.
Professional Development report – Meredith Berry – working on a grant application to bring in a guest speaker for our next meeting. There are opportunities with the National ESP and with eXtension.
Loan and Fellowship – Beverly Maltsberger – encouraged people to apply. Maudie Kelly was a recipient last year.
Life Member/Retiree report – Barb Casady has been working with the retirees. There is an opportunity to go to Costa Rica for retirees.
Global issues – Mary Leuci was not present, but they are working on a number of items.
Public Issues – no report.
Nominations – Mary Anne Patten – The President-elect, and Treasurer offices were to be filled this year. A slate of officers were provided.

Mark Stewart moved to close nominations and Bev Maltsberger seconded. Bev Coberly and Rebecca Travinchek moved to accept by acclimation and it passed.
President’s Report – Johanna thanked everyone for a good year. She enjoyed and learned a lot through the PILD conference. Mastering leadership is a lifelong pursuit. Johanna extended tokens of appreciation to chairs and board members.
Recognition and Awards – Vera Massey – encouraged us to recognize our colleagues for their great programs. National Awards - Marsha Alexander received the Distinguished Service Award. Mary Anne Patten received an award as a key contributor. State awards - Rick Sparks received the Distinguished Service Award. Linda Rellergert received the Outstanding Regional Faculty award. Vera acknowledged Bob Broz will receive the Mid-Career Service award and Wilma Jean Lower will receive the State Retiree Service award.
Initiation of new members – David Hill led the ceremony. Tim Baker, Kandace Fisher, Kathy Macomber, Vivian Mason, Sarah Traub and Linda Zimmerman were initiated. Sarah Hultine Massengale was not present. She and Jessica Trussell should be included in next year’s initiation ceremony.
Courtesy & Memorials – Meredith Berry led a recognition ceremony for our members who have passed away in the last year.

New President’s Report – Karma Metzgar thanked Johanna Reed Adams. Karma reflected on the fact that it is a small world. Idaho contact from ESP had roots in her area of Missouri. She asked folks to consider presenting at PILD; deadline is next week. She encouraged folks to think about serving on a committee. She looks forward to working with everyone in the coming year.
