Treasurer’s report – reported by Bob Schultheis treasurer:
$658.35 in the regular checking account
$6,310.41 in the commercial money market account
Outstanding deposits of $630.00
Total operating funds available $7,598.76
Annalist report – Janet LaFon, the chapter received the Platinum award for the last year, this is the highest level awarded.
Recognition and Awards – Joe Koenen – had nine applications this year, great improvement over last year. Joe encouraged folks to make nominations in the future.

Outstanding State Extension Award – Bob Broz
State Early Career Award – Gordon Carriker
Team Award – NW Missouri Water Quality Education – Bev Maltsberger, Johanna Reed Adams, Jerry Baker*, Susan Tharp*, and Marie Steinwachs* (*indicates they were not present)
Initiation of new members – Mary Anne Patten - Richard Proffer (not present) and Kay Sparks were initiated into the organization.
Professional Development report – Pat Snodgrass - the committee is looking at holding a conference regarding new technologies like Twitter, My Space, Facebook etc. They are looking at grant funds from the National level of ESP. If members have suggestions they are encourage to contact Pat.
Loan and Fellowship – Lisa Wallace – there are funds available we are interested in receiving additional applications. To apply individuals should go to the website. Applications can be accepted the first of every month.
Life Member/Retiree report – Barb Casady for Tom Henderson - The retiree meetings are held in the spring and fall and are well attended. Members are encouraged to attend – dates can be found in the Insider.
Courtesy & Memorials – Johanna Reed Adams for Wilma Jean Lower led a reading to honor deceased members.
Nominations – Bev Maltsberger – The President-elect and Treasurer offices were to be filled this year, the election was handled electronically with Survey Monkey. We had positive feedback about the election process and will likely continue to do elections in that way.
President-elect, candidates were Johanna Reed Adams and Susan Tharp.
Treasurer, candidates were Bob Schultheis and Karma Metzgar.
Global issues – there is a report on the web as Mary Simon Leuci wasn’t available to report at the meeting.
Public Issues – Sandy Stegall – Legislative Day will be March 2nd. We would like to see 500 Extension participants. Dinner on March 1st – we don’t know who our nominee is at this point. Continue to build relationships. ISE will be held at the same time.
National ESP update – Mark Stillwell – Vice President for the NC region. Nationally ESP has 3000 members. Slightly down over the last few years. Mark encouraged folks to talk to colleagues about joining. Important dates: JCEP conference in Nashville in Feb 2-4, PILD April 26-28 Arlington, VA and National ESP meeting Oct 12 – 15 Jackson Hole, WY.
Look at scholarship opportunities for attendance at these meetings. The National endowment is about $300,000 which provides for about $15,000 in scholarships.
President’s Report – Barb Casady – acknowledged the work of the committees. We are the organization that represents the Extension Profession.

New President’s Report - Mary Anne Patten thanked Barb Casady for her service. Mary Anne noted that attending the national meeting the first time brought home to her the importance of our profession and how much difference it makes. She encouraged folks to attend the national meeting and look for opportunities to get involved.
