Public Issues – Sandy Stegall 1) Virtual PILD is being held by ITV as travel restrictions made the trip to DC an issue this year. Date for the event is May 27th – one session at 1pm with urban legislators and staffers and one at 2pm with rural legislators and staffers. 2) Legislative Day was a success. Good attendance and ISE on Public value went well. Sandy asked for impressions on how it went. 3) Bob asked if the budget bills have gone forward with no cuts to Extension and been signed by the Governor? The bills have gone forward, but have not been signed by the Governor as yet. Sandy reminded us to thank our volunteers who helped with our budget crisis this year.
Recognition and Awards – Joe Koenen – will send an email out to remind folks about nominations for awards. We didn’t get any nominations last year so he is willing to do things in a different fashion if it will encourage a greater number of nominations. Our nomination for a national friend of Extension award by the deadline.
Annalist – Janet LaFon – nothing to report, asked if folks have anything for the permanent records to let her know.
