Treasurer’s Report:

Checking balance = 549.11
Money Market = 6,719.44
Total in accounts = 7,268.55. Outstanding deposit $1,025. total
$8,293.55 Treasurer’s report approved.
Committee Reports:
Wilma Jean Lower (Courtesy & Memorials): Current report was sent out via email. If others become aware of names to add please get them submitted. Wilma Jean will prepare the service and send it for others to conduct at annual conference as she won’t be able to attend.
Sandra McKinnon (Membership): Lots of work in July and August to contact eligible members. Sandra will hope to hear new ideas at the Galaxy conference. She will get initiation packets ready for annual conference. 110% goal, national challenge to increase by 10% and Bob appropriately pointed out we should focus on renewing the current memberships.
Mark Stillwell (Nominations): Looked for potential candidates. Many were contacted, but had conflicts. Candidates are Mary Ann Patten for president-elect, Rhonda Gibler for secretary, and Janet LaFon for annalist. The ballot is out; a few have been returned. Please return your ballots.
Mary Leuci (Global): No report.
Joe Koenen (Awards): No report.
Lisa Wallace (Loan and Fellowship): No report.
Sandy Stegall (Public Issues): No report
Pat Snodgrass (Professional Improvement): No report
Tom Henderson (Retirees): No report.
Dates for Calendar:
Galaxy: Sept. 15-19 – approximately 20 ESP members are going. Reception for Kathy Dothage -ESP will provide a floral centerpiece in daisies. State’s night out is Tuesday the 16th. There is a reception that same evening from 8:30 to 10:30 pm. We will send something out by email regarding State’s night out so that folks are aware before they get there. We are to bring something for the silent auction. Mark will donate a bottle of MO wine and Bev is pulling something together.
MU Extension Annual Conference: Oct. 28-30 – ice cream 3pm on Tuesday. Barb Casady will pick up the ice cream. Mark Stillwell will bring the scoops and aprons. Will need volunteers to dip the ice cream. Board meeting is from 5:30 to 6:30 on the 28th. Send agenda items to Bev.
Hugh Keith Golf Tournament: Tom Henderson and Jim Ollar aren’t going to lead it this year. Barb Casady and some other interested parties are looking at organizing an event, might be in the spring of 2009.
By-Laws: Rhonda will send out link to by-laws and reminder that the year is Sept. 1st to Aug. 31st.
