Johanna Reed Adams is a State Community Leadership Development Extension Specialist and Extension Assistant Professor in the Department of Rural Sociology. She works with colleagues in other departments and units within the University of Missouri System, Regional Specialists, and collaborating partners to create educational programs requested by community and organizational leaders throughout Missouri. Johanna served as a University of Missouri Extension Community Development Specialist headquartered in Randolph County, Northeast Region for 13 years prior to moving to campus. Johanna is a long time member of Epsilon Sigma Phi and has served as UMEA President 1997-1998 and current campus Board Member. She is also a founding member of UECRDA and NACDEP. Other professional affiliations include past Board Member of the International Community Development Society and Past President of the Missouri Chapter of the Community Development Society. She is also a current member of the Association of Leadership Educators.
 

Susan Tharp is a Research Associate with OSEDA. Susan has been with Extension for 18 years, starting as a Missouri Youth Initiative Coordinator, followed by a Human Development Specialist and County Program Director and currently as a Research Associate. She has participated in MELD I, NELD, and was on the MELD III training team. She holds an Education Specialists degree in Higher Education Administration. She is a member of UMEA, ESP, CDS, and UECRDA.
 

Karma Metzgar is the Northwest Regional Director and has been with University of Missouri Extension since 1980. She has been an ESP member since eligible. As a candidate for treasurer you need to know that “I am detail oriented, understand accounting principles, and have for 26 years kept the finances for our family farming operation.” As a former CPD and now as Regional Director, understands QuickBooks and the importance of accurate and timely accounting of the organization’s resources. Throughout her extension career she has held offices in MEAFCS and served on numerous committees within UMEA, MEAFCS/NEAFCS and organization initiatives. I am willing to serve ESP in the capacity as treasurer if the membership chooses.

Bob Schultheis joined University of Missouri Extension in 1980 and is a 24-year member of Epsilon Sigma Phi. He serves as natural resource engineering specialist in the Southwest Region and county program director in Webster County. He is currently completing his seventh year as ESP treasurer (and 11th year as an ESP officer) and has previously served in leadership positions for UMEA and MAEP. He is a current member of those associations as well as a 31-year member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. Bob holds a BS in Agricultural Mechanization from Washington State University and MS in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
