Doris P. Littrell returned to school when her children were growing up. She enrolled at MU and completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees.
Her career in continuing education culminated with leading MU Direct: Continuing and Distance Education, from which she retired as director in 2000. "My family gave me lots of support to complete my degrees," she says. "I established this scholarship to help others complete their degrees."
She and her late husband, Don, also were consultants and teachers in community development for many years. In addition to donations, proceeds from their book Practicing Community Development will support the Doris P. Littrell Scholarship.
