Degree completion

A degree that works for you…
Prepare yourself for advancement in tough economic times by continuing your education. Take your health-care career to the next level with a bachelor’s completion program in nursing, radiography or respiratory therapy. Or complete a bachelor of general studies — the most versatile degree for working adults — from anywhere online, or locally in the evening, through the University of Missouri.

Nursing and Health Sciences
If you began your career as a nurse, radiologic technologist or respiratory therapist with a two-year degree and feel you’re ready to advance, Mizzou offers online bachelor’s degree completion programs specific to your discipline:

General Studies
The bachelor of general studies allows you to choose three component areas that complement your career interests. The BGS is flexible and incorporates previous credit earned with subjects that matter in today's workplace.

No matter where you live or work, complete a BGS through independent study. You can enroll any day of the year, work at your own pace and take from six weeks to nine months to finish each course. Work with our adviser to choose courses that both meet your needs and fulfill the degree requirements. Component areas include business, humanities, education studies, English and social sciences.

Mizzou's on-campus evening program provides working adults with a bachelor's degree option well-suited to those who always have wanted to finish their undergraduate degrees but haven’t found the right fit in a program. Component areas are available in business (management and organizational studies), communication, human resources, health, information technology and design, sociology, the social sciences and humanities.
