Master Tree Farmer

Master Tree Farmer is a forest management/stewardship educational program developed by Clemson University in South Carolina with forestry professionals from across the south participating as instructors and presenters.

This course will introduce participants to stewardship considerations, best management practices for protecting the environment, planning to meet their objectives and services available for managing forest land.

Topics cover include:

Introduction to Forest Management: Forestry Terms and Concepts
Basic Forest Finance, Estate Planning, Taxation
Pine Management
Hardwood Management
Marketing, Timber Harvesting, Timber and Timberland Management
Management for Game and Non-game Wildlife
Forestry Services and Programs for landowners
