Animal Ownership
Dates
You must have OWNERSHIP of
your animals as stated in the Missouri 4-H Clover
according to the
following dates:
Steers---March 1
Market Lambs---June 1
Breeding Sheep---July 1
Goats---June 1
Dogs---April 1
Horses---May 1
Dairy---June 1
Swine---90 days before show
Boars---since farrowing
Rabbits---June 1
Meat Pen---5-10 weeks before
show
Poultry---5-10 weeks before
show

What is the Real
Purpose of Youth (4-H & FFA) Livestock Projects?
TRUSTWORTHINESS-includes honesty, promise, keeping and loyalty.
Daily feeding, watering of
animals (promise keeping)
Adheres to possession deadline
(honesty)
Adheres to withdrawal times on drugs
and de-wormer
Only the appropriate use of approved
drugs
RESPECT-induces
courtesy and proper treatment of people and things.
