ERIC
Committee
November 20, 2008
Present: Jeannie Anguaoui, Michael Goldschmidt, Jackie Hickam, Dudley Kaiser, Scott Kelly, Candy Sorrel, Tom White, Paul Davis, Todd Lorenz. Jeannie discussed her presentation earlier in the day to the women’s group. They were appreciative of the clarification of a Charrette. Jeannie emphasized the need for their participation in the Charrette. She received many positive comments. Paul, Jeannie, and Dudley attended the IDA meeting to answer questions from the board. Paul presented a timeline of activities and explained the capital campaign. The board was encouraged to not miss the opportunity to take part in the Charrette. Dudley gave an update on the 501c3 Foundation meeting. Representing the foundation will be as follows: 6 appointed Cooper County Extension Council, 1 commissioner, 2 financial institutions, and 3 from Agri-business. The actual set up of the board will take place with the first Formal Foundation meeting in March 2009. Michael gave the update on the architectural team. They have the site plan, GIS data, Mo-River.Net website, architectural photos from around the county (Todd and Ronn collected earlier in the week), and the design program. The architects will use all of this information for the opening presentation and a pre-Charrette booklet for the design team. Each of the committees gave updates and all seemed to be sufficiently prepared for the Charrette process. Availability of handicap parking was discussed. Todd will work out the details with the property owner. Because the committees seem to be on task and next week is Thanksgiving, there will not be a meeting. Our next meeting will be on-location possibly December 1 but certainly by December 2. Todd will be the filter for the committees to determine exact date. If all is going well, we may not need to meet until December 2 when Daryl gets to town. Meeting adjourned 8:45.
Respectfully submitted:
