Spring, the season of new life, will soon be here. Would classes in your school like to participate in the 4-H Incubation & Embryology school enrichment program Hatching Chicks in the Classroom?
During February, March, April, and May, we make this excellent educational program available to schools in Cole and Osage counties. The program includes curriculum targeted for preschool - 1st grade, 2nd - 5th grade and middle school through high school. We have added experiments for all ages, a Jeopardy-type game created in Microsoft PowerPoint, and much more. All is delivered in a binder to make it easy for teachers!
The weeklong program costs only $25 and includes all teaching material and supplies including an incubator and 1 dozen eggs. Eggs are a variety of breeds from exotics to fryers. The Cole County 4-H Poultry Leader will be assisting with the program. She is very knowledgeable about the chicken life cycle and will be able to help you with the Incubation and Embryology project.
If interested, there is an option of a three week study program. This program is great for middle and high school science classes. (3 Week Study Program Checklist)
