Family Nutrition
Education Programs
University of Missouri Extension's Family Nutrition
Education Program helps limited-resource families and individuals lead healthier
lives. Educational components focus on better eating habits, food
safety practices and money management.
FNEP offers programs
tailored to a variety of learning styles and can be delivered in
homes or to groups. Lessons, handouts and
activities are designed for parents and children, seniors, pregnant
teens and immigrant
populations.
Family
Nutrition Lessons: A
series of up to 20 lessons. Core
lessons include the following:

Planning makes the

Stretching you
food dollars

Keeping food safe.
Great
Beginnings: A nutrition
curriculum for pregnant and parenting
teens. This program helps young
families improve birth outcomes,
manage resources better, and practice
healthily nutrition habits.
Body Walk:
Body Walk is an
interactive exhibit that teaches kindergartners through fourth
graders about nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
Schedule one year in advance.
School
Enrichment: Age-appropriate programs teach
nutrition
and food safety. Examples:
