Roll Call was
taken with the following master gardeners, staff and
guests present at Christy and Co. flower shop on Main
Street: Nancy Tillman, Carol Nauman. Jackie
Hickam. Dora Rowles, Megan McGuire, Todd Lorenz, Jenny
Lorenz.

No meeting minutes
were presented for approval.

No Treasurer's
report was given.

Old Business:
Item A: Status
Report on Garden Projects
-
The Old
Jail/Calaboose Garden - Plantings seemed to
weather the dry, hot summer fairly well with
watering and weeding donated by Nancy Tillman and
Megan McGuire. The impatients along the big rock
must have gotten too hot.

Morgan Street
Garden - Parks department has maintained
throughout the summer with plantings all surviving.
-
Hospital
Garden - Flowers and vegetables all looked good
- hats off to Sue Seals, her staff and patients at
the long term care facility for maintaining (AND
ENJOYING).

Harvest House
- With their new addition, will need any
cuttings or plants that will be donated to fill in
the areas around the front of the new wing.
-
Habitat House
- The homeowners appear to have their yard
planting and landscaping under control and have not
asked for any additional help from the Master
Gardener Group.
Item B: The
Master Gardeners will place and staff a booth for the
Festival of Lights on September 22 starting at 5:00 p.m.
until 8:00 p.m.
Item C: The
Master Gardeners decided not to purchase or staff a
booth at the Festival of Leaves on Saturday, October 1.
Item D: Dora
Rowles is working on a series of articles for the
Boonville Daily News.

New Business:
Item A: Jenny
Lorenz gave a demonstration on flower arranging
including special occasion arrangements, dried flowers
and fresh arrangements.
Item B:
Calaboose Garden needs a clean up day and a bulb
planting day to be scheduled. Suggestions were made for
bulb planting on a Saturday in late October to be
announced. Clean up day will be our next meeting date.

Adjourn/Next
Meeting: The meeting was concluded at 8:30 p.m. The
next meeting will be October 5, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. at the
Calaboose Garden. Bring tools, work clothes and snacks
for dinner.
