December 2003 Regional Council Minutes

The December 1, 2003 Central Missouri Regional Council meeting was called to order at 7 pm and began with Larry Lackey calling the meeting to order.

Mark Stillwell discussed the joining of UOE and UMC. Mark then discussed his ideas about the merger and passed out handouts outlining some of the changes that would take place.

Personnel Update-

The position for Morgan County Agronomy will be posted again since the past applicant was not qualified for the position.

The Chariton County 4-H applicant meet with Mark last week and they hope to have to position filled within one week.

Mark then discussed council training. He said that he felt the last training was well attended and informative to those that attended. The next training will be held around March 2004 after new council members are installed.

Legislative Day-

Larry Lackey discussed what happened last year and what may be done this coming year.

County Sharing:

Saline County began this time by discussing their recent banquet. Several other counties followed up with programs they offer and how they helped people in their everyday lives.

A motion was made and passed that Regional Council Trainers would be reimbursed $0.36 per mile for travel expenses when traveling to approved training events.

The next meeting will be held March 1, 2004. Election of officers will be held at that time.
